St. Joseph’s Care Group is a recognized leader in Northwestern Ontario in the provision of complex care,
rehabilitation, long term care, mental health and addiction services. The Care Group operates on a
program management model, providing client-centred services with an emphasis on inter-professional
collaboration and evidence-based practice.
Assessment Consultants
The Behavioural Sciences Center (BSC) provides confidential EFAP (Employee & Family Assistance
Program) and Assessment Services on a fee-for-service basis. Current customers include local and regional
industries, the WSIB and various insurance companies. The BSC is expanding its existing roster of
Medical and Healthcare Consultants to provide a more comprehensive array of assessment services.
We are currently seeking health care professionals in the following specialized fields: Physiotherapy,
Occupational Therapy, Orthopaedics, Neurology. Physiatry, Psychiatry and Family Medicine.

Library Technician
The Care Group is currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Library Technician but will also consider
applications from qualified individuals interested in working in a part time capacity.
The Library Technician reports to the Manager, Library Services and works in collaboration with
members of the SJCG Library Services Team to meet the information needs of all Care Group Staff,

clients/families and students. Responsibilities include providing timely, specialized information services in
response to patron information requests, maintaining the library catalogue, maintaining the library
collection according to Library Services’ policies and procedures, ongoing supervision of a volunteer
assistant and day-to-day administrative duties, as required.
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
Diploma in Library and Information Studies/Technician Program
Experience in a medical/health library setting is preferred
Familiarity with Evergreen, INMAGIC, Docline, and Amicus is an asset
Knowledge of cataloguing rules, classification schedules and interlibrary loan practices/resources is an asset
Excellent computer skills, including a proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, Microsoft
Explorer, as well as the ability to learn new software applications quickly
Proficiency in searching internet and electronic library-related resources. eg. Ebscohost Research Databases.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated good judgment within scope of duties
Ability to problem-solve, exercise sound judgment, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
