St. Joseph’s Care Group is a recognized leader in Northwestern Ontario in the provision of complex care, rehabilitation, long term care, mental health and addiction services. The Care Group is currently accepting applications from qualified professionals for two important leadership positions. Director, Physical Rehabilitation Programs (Non-455) Reporting to the Vice President, Complex Care & Physical Rehabilitation Services and Chief Nursing Executive, the Director is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to care delivery in the assigned clinical areas. This includes implementation of relevant strategic initiatives that advance the strategic priorities of SJCG, as well as the development and implementation of annual quality improvement plans. Leading a team of clinical managers and additional staff, the Director will develop an interprofessional collaborative team approach to service planning, delivery, budgeting, and managing fiscal and human resources. In concert with other SJCG clinical directors and managers, the Director, Physical Rehabilitation Programs, plays a key role in collaboration with local and provincial health care partners toward the development of integrated health service delivery that ensures smooth transitions for all people moving between levels of care. The Director also collaborates with the medical staff providing care within portfolio, ensuring open dialogue and medical staff input into strategic initiatives, quality improvement and service planning. Qualifications for this position include: Advanced educational and/or professional qualifications Clinical education and registration in a regulated health profession preferred www.sjcg.net Master’s degree in a related management field preferred Several years middle management experience Proven experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles, gained within comparable, complex organizations Excellent planning and relationship management skills Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare system, including provincial policy, relevant acts and legislation, current trends, issues and initiatives Director, Communications (Non-457) Reporting to the President & CEO and leading a versatile communications team, the Director of Communications is responsible for overall strategic and operational direction for the delivery of excellent communication services (internal and external) in order to secure and maintain a positive image and impression of St. Joseph’s Care Group by all stakeholders. The Director will help to foster an environment where transparency, accountability and a focus on the Care Group’s strategic directions are maintained through all communication activities. Qualifications for this position include: Advanced educational and/or professional qualifications Several years experience in public relations and communications Proven experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles, gained within comparable, complex organizations Excellent writing, planning and relationship management skills Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare system, including provincial policy, relevant acts and legislation, current trends, issues and initiatives Excellent planning and relationship management skills Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare system, including provincial policy, relevant acts and legislation, current trends, issues and initiatives Driving is a requirement for both positions, therefore applicants also require a valid Ontario drivers' license, drivers' abstract, use of a reliable vehicle and adequate insurance.
