Notice to All Employers of All Employees Working in
the Frame Carpentry Industry who are represented
by Allied Construction Employees, Local 1030,
United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of
America in the Province of Ontario
The Frame Carpentry Contractors Association has filed an Application
for Accreditation as an Employers Organization pursuant to section
134 of the Ontario Labour Relations Act, 1995 for the following
bargaining unit:
The work performed by carpenters, carpenters’ apprentices,
trainees, helpers, working foremen and forklift operators,
engaged in all phases of residential framing, roughing in,
footings, and similar work for whom Allied Construction
Employees, Local 1030, United Brotherhood of Carpenters
and Joiners of America holds bargaining rights while working
in the Province of Ontario, save and except those persons
employed as non-working foremen and persons above the
rank of non-working foreman, and save and except persons
required to apply the terms and conditions of a collective
agreement pursuant to a Pieceworker Participation
Agreement, and save and except employers who employ
employees to perform work under the following collective
agreements:
1. Collective Agreement (Forming) between Allied
Construction Employees, Local 1030, United Brotherhood of
Carpenters and Joiners of America and various independent
low rise forming contractors, being the Standard Residential
Low Rise Forming Collective Agreement;
2. Collective Agreement between Carpenters’ District Council
of Ontario, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of
America (on its own behalf and on behalf of Allied
Construction Employees, Local 1030, United Brotherhood of
Carpenters and Joiners of America) and various residential
kitchen cabinetry installation contractors, being the Standard
Residential Cabinetry Installation Collective Agreement,
whose Recognition and Scope clause limits its application to
the supply and installation of kitchen cabinets and kitchen
packages, and all related work (including but not limited to
tending and clean-up); and
3. The Residential Pre-Engineered Panel Agreement between
Allied Construction Employees, Local 1030, United
Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and various
independent pre-engineered panel installation contractors,
being the Standard Residential Pre-Engineered Panel Agreement.
This Application affects all employers for whom Allied Construction
Employees, Local 1030, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and
Joiners of America holds bargaining rights and who operate in the
above-noted bargaining unit. If you are an employer that is or may be
affected by this application, you must file an “Employer Filing,
Application for Accreditation, Construction Industry” (Form A-94) by
the Employer Filing Date. The Employer Filing Date fixed by the
Registrar in this matter is September 10, 2021.
The Board may determine this matter without a hearing after the
Employer Filing Date or, if a hearing is scheduled, only those employers
who have filed an “Employer Filing, Application for Accreditation,
Construction Industry” (Form A-94) will receive notice of that hearing.
You can determine whether you or your company is affected by this
Application by inspecting the material filed in the Application (OLRB

All Employers are urged to confirm whether they are affected by the

September 10, 2021, that they are affected by the Application and
wish to participate in the proceeding.
