Overall Responsible Operator
Job Summary:
The Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) will be responsible for the Shibogama First Nation Council member communities’ water and wastewater systems to ensure that water production and wastewater treatment is in accordance with applicable regulations, legislations, and standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Instruct and assist Operator(s) with operation and troubleshooting of their water
and wastewater systems.
• Ensure the operation and maintenance of the facilities are in compliance with applicable laws,
regulations, and standards.
• Assist Operator(s) to develop and prioritize work duties, budgets, and schedules.
• Assist with actions to rectify Drinking Water Advisories that may arise.
Terms: Full Time Employment
Location: Sioux Lookout, Ontario
Anticipated Start Date: November 13, 2017
• Minimum Class III water treatment, Class I wastewater treatment certificates
• Valid Ontario driver’s license
• Must be willing to travel
• Ability to speak Oji-Cree an asset
• First Aid training an asset
• Confined space training an asset
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
